Robert C. Areson, MD

Dr. Areson grew up in Maine and moved to the Burlington area after college to work with a small environmental consulting firm. After a year of this, he completed his pre-med classes while spending winters working as a ski patroller in Colorado. Dr. Areson graduated from UVM medical school in 2013 and completed his residency in Denver. He worked for a year in outpatient primary care at Denver Health while his wife Katie completed her OB/GYN training. They have lived in Williston since moving back to VT in 2017, and have three children. They love being part of the active VT community and get outdoors to bike, run, hike, and ski as much as possible.

Dr. Areson was drawn to primary care for the variety of experiences it offers every day. He’s grateful for the opportunity to help his patients learn about their health and take an active role in their wellbeing. He enjoys keeping his scope of practice as wide as possible and is thrilled to be joining the team at Richmond Family Medicine in 2022.
