Rachel Putnam

Rachel Putnam, MSN, FNP

Rachel Putnam grew up north of Pittsburgh, PA. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. She worked in the cardiothoracic ICU for six years, in addition to a part-time position for the local health department tracking communicable disease cases. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of New Mexico while working as an undergraduate teaching assistant and volunteering on the mountain rescue team in Santa Fe, NM. She moved to Vermont in 2011, and has been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in northern Vermont ever since.

Rachel enjoys caring for a wide variety of medical problems. Some of her interests in primary care include management of depression, contraception and women's health. In addition, she has a strong background in cardiac rehabilitation and acute care. Rachel is invested in prevention of illness with a focus on healthy lifestyle choices. She enjoys working on personalized goals for nutritional changes and exercise regimens in addition to overcoming each patients challenges in life related to those choices.

Rachel lives in Stowe, VT with her husband, two daughters and their dog, Daisy. She enjoys traveling, mountain biking, gardening and kayaking.
