Hannah Rabin, MD

Dr. Hannah Rabin grew up in Marshfield, Vermont where her parents were bread bakers. She knew she wanted to be a doctor when she was 8 years old, but got interested along the way in many other things–poetry, philosophy, and political change. She returned to Vermont after college and married Gil Theriault whom she met in a pre-med class and with whom she has collaborated professionally through their medical careers. They have two children together. Hannah enjoys time with her extended family, gardening and raising chickens, walking with the family dog (and anyone who will join them), knitting, cooking, and reading– both medical and nonmedical literature.

As a practitioner of Family Medicine, Dr. Rabin comes to know her patients over time, hears their life narratives and learns about their families and communities, their histories, and what they hold important. By combining her understanding of individual patients with up to date medical knowledge, she can guide and collaborate with her patients as they make choices about prevention of disease, navigate difficult medical decisions, or develop a personal plan for health.
