Gil Theriault, MD

Dr. Theriault grew up in Maine, and attended the University of Maine as an engineering major. He moved to Vermont in 1984 and was a carpenter and home builder for over a decade.  He retooled for a career in medicine and met his wife, Hannah Rabin while they were taking pre-med chemistry classes at the University of Vermont. They shared a common dream of being doctors in a small town. That dream became a reality in Richmond, Vermont.

Dr. Theriault is one of the founding physician partners of Richmond Family Medicine and the lead designer and general contractor for the new medical clinic. He enjoys spending time with Hannah and their two children, and also enjoys woodworking, maintaining a fruit orchard and garden, kayaking and outdoor activities.

Dr. Theriault appreciates the diversity that the practice of Family Medicine offers. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. He is comfortable helping patients with complex medical problems. Dr. Theriault performs minor surgical procedures in the office. By design, the Richmond medical model allows greater time for him to listen to the concerns of his patients.
